This could be considered as the Champs Elysees of Barcelona. It is the main street of l“Eixample, a shopping and financial centre, a street to wander along and find your bearings. Although the origins of Passeig de Grącia are earlier than the Eixample, it would soon become the main axis of the Cerdą Plan. To walk down Passeig de Grącia is to visit Catalan modernism, from its benches to its street lamp, and almost all of its buildings. It is all a good example of Catalan-modernist architecture.

CASA PONS I PASCUAL

This is right at the beginning of the Passeig, number 2-4, at the corner of Ronda de Sant Pere. It is a building by the well-known architect Enric Sagnier i Villavecchia from the year 1891. It is one of the first neogothic works of the Eixample.

CASAS ANTONI ROCAMORA

Also on the Passeig de Grącia, but from numbers 6 to 14, are located these houses by Josep Bassegoda i Amigó, who constructed them from 1914-1917, together with his brother Bonaventura Bassegoda.
