The Olympic Ring occupies an esplanade next to the Olympic Stadium, and brings together a series of sports facilities designed by Federico Correa, Joan Margarit, Alfonso Milà and Carles Buixadé.

One of the most emblematic facilities of the Olympic Ring is the Palau Sant Jordi, by the Japanese architect Arata Isozaki.

It is a multifunctional sports facility where everything from ski trials to jet ski races have been held. It has a capacity of 17,000 people.

Other facilities to be highlighted include the Picornell swimming pools built in 1970, but reformed on the occasion of the Olympic Games. Lastly, the Institut Nacional d´Educació Física (INEF) designed by Ricard Bofill, who renders homage here to the Greek civilization where the Olympic Games originated.
